Have been trying for over a day to get a coworker setup with Xamarin in Visual Studio 2015. I was able to get someone else I work with setup and using the preview iOS simulator so I am aware of what it takes to get it going.
The install is getting tripped up by having to install Android SDK 24.4.1. This machine has a lot of SDKs installed but not this particular version. In fact he has SDK ~25, 21, 19 and several others. There is no checkbox in the SDK manager for 24.4.1 and it's not even the latest version which is even more annoying.
We tried running the update using 'Programs and Features' to 'Modify' the Visual Studio 2015 components. Every time we check the C# Xamarin option it makes us install the Android SDK. As mentioned the Android SDK is installed but not this stupid version it wants.
I have attached an installation log.
So far we have tried:
- clearing temp files.
- installing from 'Program and Features'
- tried installing from Xamarin installer we got of the web
- running SDK manager to install missing SDKs but 24.4.1 is NOT AN OPTION .. why this version! omg.

We are only working on iOS right now anyway. If it would just install Xamarin we can update the SDK paths but there is no Xamarin option in the tools > options menu.
